MDJunction to me

cinderella"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Does anyone else get severe muscle jerking? I am not talking about Restless Legs, or muscle cramps, or small twitching, or tremors. I am talking about body parts jerking really bad. I have is mostly on my left side. My shoulder, arm, wrists, legs and ankles so this. Its so bad I throw objects, hit myself in the face, etc. Has anyone else experienced this?

I think you might want to call the dr. on that one. I have small twitches and if I have my arm in a certain position it really gets to going. But not hitting myself.

I have severe muscle twitches. Last time I was visiting my bf in Denver I had a really bad one. It was the middle of the night and my left rear end cheek twitched so hard I almost fell out of bed and it woke him up too. I also get it so my stomach muscle twitches hard enough to bend me in half. I am taking zanaflex now and that seems to help with the worst of it. Are you taking any muscle relaxers?

No, my doc wont prescribe them to me. Even tho my rheumo diagnosed me with fibro, my GP thinks Im just looking for drugs. (Medical MJ is legal in this state, so if I wanna get high, I can always use medical MJ. I dont need prescription drugs to do it - and my doc knows this.)

Um...no that's her job as a doctor! I'd find a new dr ASAP. My rheumy prescribes me meds along with all of my other doctors. I tell her what I'm already on and she decides if I need something else. You need to find two new doctors hun. Two who are willing to do their jobs.
