MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

It's myfirstnight and I haven't taken it yet, I'm concerned about the side effects especially with all the othermeds at bedtime(ambien, zanaflex, ibuprohin, and something else I can't remember LOL Any info would be appreciated! hope every one is well tonight! I take neurontin. I have for about 10 years. I think but am not sure but it might make me sleepy at night. But sometimes I have to take during the day and I am fine.

It is my guess that if you are taking it at night and you get sleepy it is ok.

I would ask your pharmacist though if you are concerned about drug interactions.

Hope this helps.

God BLess.

Trudy

My doctor put me on Neurontin about a year or two ago. I'm on a fairly low dose (600mg) but I have noticed one change. The one change I have noticed is that I sleep through the night now. I used to wake up repeatedly, so actually being able to sleep through the night has been a big improvement. Now if only it would help me sleep deeply....

As for the side effects, I personally haven't noticed any. I have no problem taking it with ibuprofen. You should check with your pharmacist regarding the other meds, just like 2cats suggested.

ruby I hope the neurontin is helping you. I used to take it & was up to 2400mg, then the pain doc gave me Lyrica & dummy me was taking both at the same time

I think I found out a month or two later I wasn't suppose to be taking both - no wonder I felt pretty good

I now ask all my doctors to write the stuff down for me or watch me write it out.

Tried it. It made me so very tired. I hated it and it did not work. But everyone is different. Hope it works for you!
