We are having a huge party in June for my husbands 40th and there are a lot of friends from the coast coming and some of my family from out of state. So I am using this as a good incentive to start loosing all this weight that I have. I need to start an exercise program but everytime I try to start one the FM gets bad and I have to stop. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good program to start on to let my body ease into the workout routine?

Hello,

Everything I have read is to start off with walking each day and maybe every other day do some toning with weights. If you do not have weights, try using canned vegetables as weights. I personally love swimming, it feels sooooooo good on my body and it helps burn calories too! Good luck, I am trying to lose weight right along with you

I too am a believer in the walking. I also drink lots of water and try to watch portion sizes. I am right there along with you in trying to lose the weight that I need to. Unfortunately, the meds I am on are making me go in the opposite direction right now. Don't worry though, I am a fighter and WILL win the battle, one moment at a time.

Best of luck to you. Try breaking your goal down into small steps and celebrate each victory along the way be rewarding yourself w/ something that is not related to food. Maybe get your nails done or go to a movie? Just a thought.

I've started doing yoga a few days a week. I go to a site called www.yogatoday.com. It's my cheap way of getting new classes whenever I want. Go to "watch classes" and choose beginners. Then pick one that looks interesting. They run about 1 hr., but since you're not in a live class with anyone, you can do as much or as little as you want. It doesn't look like it would be that much of a workout, but it really is. But, it's mostly stretching, breathing, and relaxation. I've got to admit, it sometimes is quite difficult, but I always feel better afterwards. Good luck.
