Hey everyone just had a question, hoping I can get an answer to--I've been having really bad, constant pain on my butt bone and I swear I haven't fallen or anything, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if this could be something else *like a back problem*?? It hurts a lot to sit in a car and it also hurts to lay down or really do just about anything. I can't stand it, this is a new pain, and it really bothers me. I have a doc appt Wed wondering if I should mention it, but if it's part of fibro I thought I'd ask first 'cause I don't want to go through Another MRI for no reason and I also don't want the doc to think I'm just trying to get more pain meds b/c I'm actually usually quite comfortably with what I am on.....SO, answers anyone??

I think it is something that you should bring up with your dr. I personaly have a lot of lower back pain, but not on my tail bone. So just to be safe, I would ask about it.

I don't have the pain that you are describing but I think you should mention it to your dr. Any new pain that you experience, whether is related to fibro or not should be mentioned in my opinion. That way the dr can confirm that it is the fibro and not something more serious. I hope you are able to find out what is causing your pain and that you can get some relief. I will be praying for you.

I have pain like that in my tailbone......but I had an injury. Check with your doctor, it may be nothing major though.

and don't worry about him thinking you want more pain meds, his job is to help you. I hate that feeling. I worried about that all of the time before I was diagnosed. In fact, the diagnosis came way late because I felt like a crazy person hurting in so many places with no real culprit. or at least not one they could find. Tell him or he cannot do his job.

I have pain like that, but mine turned out to be nothing.

I would definantly bring it up to your doctor though. It is very important to not put things off to Fibro because it could be something else.

Hope everything turns out to be ok!
