I joined the Fibromyalgia Network and they sent me some information today and inside of the magazine was a pamphlet inviting us to join in the May 12 Awareness Day to help educate others about fibromyalgia and realated disorders. It states that since 1992, this day has been observed by patients throughout the US as an annual reminder that people like you really do exist despite the invisible nature of your symptoms. there are posters, pins and bookmarks. the number is toll free (800) 853-2929 or www.fmnetnews.com/store.php if you have trouble let me know I am in a hurry to a dr appt.

I have posted about fibro awarness day a couple of times. The more we talk about it, the more people will find out about it. It is not as well known about as other awarness days. So we all need to keep spreading the word. In April I plan on sending emails to my local news stations an news paper. I would love it if we all did the same thing in our own area. We had a tread about it and other ideas topic was "the future" I think.

I just went to this site to learn more about our day! I am going to do what ever I can to raise awareness about this awful disease. (or whatever they call it). I noticed that the Gov. of Minnesota has signed the proclamation declaring May 12 Fibro Day. At least he's not too much of an idiot! Does anyone know of any Fibromyalgia conferences that are held? It doesn't have to be in Mn. I would like to find one so I could meet others and learn as much about this as I can. Thank you for posting about this or I would never have known. I don't get around much. Even on the computer. Have a Great Day! Chris

The crimson and pink bracelet I have and it does make people ask what it is for. The crimson is for chronic pain and the pink is for women. Therefor women in chronic pain.
