You're not going mad. You're not alone when it comes to waking up in the night with pain.

Sometimes I have trouble going to sleep due to the pain. And, I do wake up most nights with pain. I hate it!

I have muscle spasms in late afternoon and at night. So at night, in addition to my pain med and sleeping pill- I take muscle relaxers. Once they kick in- I'm usually good on the sleep part. UNTIL I wake up with the intense pain. Usually after I get another pain pill in me and it gets working, then I can get back to sleep (until the next pain wake-up). Sometmes, I even have to soak in the tub in the middle of the night. This happens usually at least 2 times a week.

Have you tried soaking in the tub at all? The tub has become one of my best-friends. I'm in it usually 3 to 5 times a day. And it's a must before I go to bed. Sometimes I use Epsom Salts and sometimes calming bubbles.

Hope you can find some relief to help you sleep through the night.

Amy
