My infections were bacterial and viral. I had borrelia burgdorferi, babesia, ehrlichia, and bartonella. I also had HHV-6 and HHV-7. Oh yeah, and EBV-which is very common in people with FM. All of these infections were discovered after I found a doctor who cared. I kept telling my doctor my lymph nodes were so sore. He never paid much attention to that. He just kept on writing scripts for my symptoms, which I now refer to as "band-aids". The scripts just covered up my infections and the infections were left to "fester" and multiply. Naturally, my pain got worse year after year. But I found a doc in atlanta who knows what he's doing. I'm better. I don't take anything for pain anymore. No more "band-aids". Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.
