I get the heart pounding thing too, I hate it. Mine is from a rapid hearbeat which is from my thyroid. I take a heart med now and it works great unless I'm really, really stressed out.

Cakes, Hi. Do you have dizziness associated with the pounding after eating or any other symptoms?

Cake, have you called your doctor about this? I think you should. Heart symptoms are never anything to fool around with.

Cake you do need to get this checked out, it is nothing to play around with, Are you by any chance taking any type of cold or allergy meds? I had the same thing happen to me in high school and my mom took me to the md, thinking it was my thyroid but it turned out to be too many allergy pills.
