Please hopie, Don't go to another chiropractor, u need pain management and a new Doctor, Doctor, a DO to start with and the rest will come with ur new doctor, ok? Pretty Please, try it this way before u go the other way, This is only my opinion, Honestly, I think u should do what u think is right, i just was hoping u would think about it first.

This is the best site for good, wonderful, kind, always available, and (its all) confidential people here.

Hi hopie-

Can I ask why you keep going to chiropractors? Do they usually help you with the pain?

Whether it be a rheumy, pain clinic, holistic med doctor, chiro, or whatever- please know- it might take some time to figure out what works for you.

I worked at a chiropractor's office for almost 2 years. Great people! My husband has gone there since before we were married, and our youngest daughter for migraines.

But when they worked on me- Ouch! Youza! The outcome would only be more pain, extreme pain. Even when they did the activator method vs. the manual manipulation.

Guess what I'm trying to say here is... just keep your options open. Maybe try another rheumy, or pain clinic, or holistic med doctor. Give it some time. Most of us on here can tell you- it's taken us years to figure out what provides even the smallest amount of relief. And some- many years before even being correctly diagnosed.

Hang in there! We're here for ya! Just continue to ask lots of questions. People on here have great advice and have experienced a lot. You'll get to feeling better, even if just a little. I know you will. Take Care and Gentle Hugs to you.

Amy

My doc office told me to use flax seed oil. I use about 1Tbd a day, when I remember. I just mix it in my food and never taste it. It helps with the stiffness in my muscels. It is the best sorce of the good fatty acids your body needs.you can get it at health food stores. I think I have even seen it at Wal-mart

For any of you that said you stopped going to your rheumy, if you are on ss make sure you continue to get reports from them even though they do not do anything anymore. Continue to go see them if nothing else but for the reporting. This is very important.

my hubby has a hard time understanding why sometimes i appear to be in no pain ( but i am) and others i can be in massive pain... alot of other people just think im lazy and with him for his money .. that aklways makes me laugh because we dont have any money hahaha Its hard when your spouse just wont educate themsleves or they understand one day then grow very impatient the next.. its like he thinks that it will just go away... soemtimes i feel like being single would eb a better alternative but then part of me knows i cant raise my kids on my own and i do love him i just feel so helpless so in a way i can relate to that part i also suffer from tingling an numbness the docs thought i had a mild stoke but all the testing turned out negative for that so they chalked it up to the FMS ...

sometimes I think they blame fibro when they just dont have an answer or just dont want to be bothered with our complaints.

Sorry about your hubby. I know how hard it is. I have a great hubby. he does so much for me. Sometimes he just does not get how I feel. I do have to say that I am lucky. he calles me all day long from work to see how I am doing. Calls on the way home from work to see if I want or need anything from the store. He even helps with the house work.
