Oh yeah! I have a terrible time with that. I usually put a pillow between my legs. But sometimes that doesn't even help.

Actually, my whole body hurts quite badly when I'm laying in bed. My body just touching the bed is painful. We did buy a 3" foam egg-crate mattress topper. It has helped a 'little'.

But I have trouble with my legs, shoulders, arms, hips, etc. And the pain gets so bad that I have really bad muscle spasms.

Oh yeah! I also soak in the tub before bed. That helps a 'little' as well. The hot water relaxes my body some.

I hope you figure something out to help you. Pain when trying to sleep is horrible. Waking up with it is not fun either. And us Fibros need a good nights sleep!

Take care.

Amy

Kimmy,

I have the sme problem. Restless legs which can be part of the fibro. I take clonazepam at night and it really helps alot and help you sleep. The other meds for RLS made me sick, but there is Requip and mirapex.

I didn't know what was bothering my legs until I seen the commercials on tv about restless leg syndrome. Then I told my husband that was how my legs feel when I am trying to relax especially at night. But I know this sounds crazy but I also get it in my arms and hands. I have a tingling annoying feeling like in the muscles and tendons, I don't know exactly how to describe it. But I feel like I have to move them but moving doesn't help. It is just as bad for my husband as it is for me because I am moving all the time until finally I can get to sleep. It also happens if I am just lying on the couch resting. My mother-in-law said it helps with her legs if she makes sure her bladder is totally empty before going to bed. I have tried it and I don't know if it really helps much but I try it anyway just in case.

Oh gosh yes. I toss and turn all night with leg pains. I think it is only about 10 minutes before I have to turn over again. This results in hardly any sleep. I do take Klonopin now and it does help a little. I am sure my dh is sick of it too

I have restless legs they never stop moving the Dr. put me on Requip. I really don't know if it is working because when I wake up I still ache in my hips and legs my husband says I move all night. I cannot find a comfortable position to sleep in for very long. After reading all the side affects of Requip all it had done for me is made me decide I want another dog. You might ask your doctor about it. Ii just saw another ad on tv for another new drug for restless leg but don't remember the name. I also have a mild sleeping pill but its not helping either. After reading I think ll of this is connected somehow. Jean, Goddess of Slow Movers

As I said yesterday, one cup of coffee seems to help. Why, I don't know. But it works for me.

LOL, Jean, you and your dogs! I love my dogs. They love me unconditionally and always greet me at the door, lay beside me when I am resting and sleep with me at night. They lick me and kiss me all the time, and cuddle. I couldnt ask for better little furkids. They actually helped save my life once. I passed out on the toilet (!) and I woke up to them both kissing me and pawing at me, and howling to try to wake me up! I finally got to the phone to call 911. I was having some sort of reaction to a medication.

See they are good medicine after all and Heroes for saving your life. Hope you gave them a piece of steak for their good work. I know yesterday when I was really bad in the afternon they stayed right next to me. Terry calls them my entourage because they follow me room to room. I feel really bad when I am only in a room for a minute because I forgot what I needed. I don't know if this goes along with the restless leg but my face tingles alot in the last two days. Have you heard of that, anyone? I just don't want it to start to twitch, when you are a goddess you should not have wierd faces going on. Jean, The goddess of slow movers
