Nerve pain

I was wondering if anyone else has nerve pain? I had it so bad in the winter that my husband could not touch my body at all. I wanted to crawl out of my skin. Now when my husband just puts his leg over my legs my muscles seem to go stiff and I can't stand it. Its a horrible feeling. Sometimes it will eventually get better and some days it doesn't. I can't stand that feeling because it is not a normal type of pain. Has anyone had anything like this?

Janee, hi. I think we've all had it at one point or another. Some have it worse than others.

Thankfully, I only have it intermittently.

Have you talked to your dr about it? There are some meds that will help.

Tender hugs, Tina

I get it but very rarely. Mine is so bad that I can't even stand to touch it and it's usually just in one leg.

I'll get it occasionally. One of the only things that helps my pain is if my husband gives me a massage, but when my nerve pain flares up I can't stand him touching me. It feels like my skin is on fire....even a shower hurts.

There are some meds out there that are approved for nerve pain, one of them is Neurontin. Just weigh the side effects versus the nerve pain and check with your doctor.

We all hope you find the right treatment for you!

I get it and take topamax for it but it really does not help me all that much, neurotin helped the mose but I can no longer take that, really you just have to wait it out, it is really pretty painful and I feel for anyone who has it.

Oh my goodness!! You must not have seen my posts on gloves huh. I have suffered from tremendous nerve pain in my arms, hand, and oh my the thumbs!! I am much better now but it is never all the way gone.I have found keeping the skin covered, preferably in somethng tight (for me it was soft gloves) so that nothing can scrub across the skin. I take Lyrica and it helped sooo much. Lyrica is a hard drug to take and tolerate so do your research. I am so sorry that is happening to ya now.

I have it too. Thankfully not daily though. My kids seem to think I'm some kind of jungle gym.
