"I have Crohn's Disease along with Fibromyalgia." (katiek)

MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

I dont know if this has anything to do with our illness or not, but let me tell u what, since Sept of last yr, ive been having my teeth corrected, i had 11 removed at once. I had to heal, and that took a long time, then i had to have what was left cleaned. Whitened they are beautiful, then we did all or the impressions and then the new teeth come later, well i got my new teeth about 2.5 weeks to 3 wks ago, my upper partial is good to go and the bottom i just cant seem to get them right, well, with partials on the bottom left side of my mouth, the tooth that the partial connects toooo, OMG it hurts so bad and has for 1 wk or so, im now starting to get angry, it hurts baaaaad, im supposed to go back for adjusting last friday actually but it hurt so bad i didnt even call them or get out of bed along with my fms, and the cfs, and the cms, etc..... i now have a bad tooothache. i think it's becoming absested. Oh my jaw has been hurting alot also. Anyone else having these problems or is it just little ole me? Get back with me ok?

Yes, I have all of those problems with the teeth, in fact I have a toothache right now as I am typing this! It is a lower molar, the filling fell out of it and took a huge chunk of tooth with it last week, at the gumline. I have to make an appt. to get it fixed but

cannot until my Medicaid kicks in again next month. I have had to have 3 upper teeth pulled in this past year, and I have a partial plate which it took them nearly 5 months to make and get right! Now I have at least 2 lower molars which will have to be removed and likely another lower partial made....the process at this dentist takes forever, drags on for months, because they don't have enough dentists and accept all the Medicaid pts in our county. Hence, even with a bad toothache you cannot get into the dentist for 2 weeks and you just have to put up with the pain! Unless you can pay cash at another dentist and I don't have the money. I would take the lower partial out and just not use it until you can get in to have them adjust it again. btw, although my upper partial, which I've had for about a year now fits well, it is still awkward and uncomfortable after wearing it all day long..but at least it doesn't cause me horrible pain, and it looks good.

I feel bad for you...keep trying to get into that dentist. I had an absess once and it was horribly painful, had to take antibiotic for weeks and it took a long time to heal.

I hope you get some relief soon. I have to be firm with my dentist office or they just blow me off.

I have no back teeth I got them all pulled in a two year time period about 4 years ago. They said it was from grinding them They would crack under the gum and get infected to the point the roof of my mouth was infected . Very Very painful I think it was worse than child birth though I had two c sections haha I havent went and got partials just because I am waiting to see what the rest of my teeth are doing I am starting to get peridontal?? disease which is hereditary in my family so I think Im just goin to go ahead and get all my teeth out and get full dentures anyway because I figure less pain in the long run. Plus every time I go to the dentist the back of my head falls asleep and I feel weird all day. The dentist said just get them fixed it will be better in the long run. I told him Im not that vain and I'd rather take a vacation than keep paying for yours ...Something tells me he didnt like that, I haven't got another appointment letter so I guess I need to find a new dentist too LOL

Oh my gosh, my husband always brings up that we could have bought a car or something like that with the amount of money spent on my mouth.

I can't say which one would be worse, teeth, back, or feet?

Messafox,

Please get back to the dentist in case you do have an infection.

I must have had oh about 6 or 8 root canals & crowns to boot with that$$$

Years ago a dentist botched a root canal & cracked my gum so I needed to get a skin graph done, he took the skin from the roof of my mouth & the graph got an abcess anyway SCREAM.......... I grind my teeth so bad & he said I really should have more grafts done. I told him sorry Dude, I'll let my teeth fall out first.

Wildfire,

your right, if he did those he would be upgrading to another awesome house on the main line or another great vacation.

yeah I know the worst about it is a few years before I just got crowns on the ones he had to pull and that cost a pretty penny. I am just sick of fixing my teeth all the time. My husband makes fun of me because I won't get partials for the back you can't really tell but Im like hey in Europe I'd be considered fashionable LOL Plus with all the other doctors and therapy I am just sick of going. i need a break from one of them why not the one who cost the most money out of pocket LOL

You really do need to go to the dentist or call him for a perscription because it will only get worse and you'll want to saw your head off because it sounds like it would be less pain. I've been there it hurts bad!!!!!
