MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

happens to me all the time. Nice to know I'm not alone. it's one of those things blow off once they do a nerve conduction test & don't find any cubital/carpel tunnel.

please let me know if you ever find a good explanation

Best that I have at the present is nerve entrapment from myofascial problems.

fibrochicky...you're funny!! you sure make me smile! Anyhow, I was gonna say that my hands and feet have been cold all of my life. Although I haven't been dx with Raynauds, who knows now!! It took FOREVER to get my final dx of Fibro, so I'm still learning (8 years later). But, I do have a question...does anyone have numbing of the arms and/or hands when you really don't thing it should happen? Like just crossing your arms for a few minutes ALWAYS when you sleep, and that's IF you sleep!?!?

Just curious~

Have an Awesome Weekend Everyone...

Suzee,

I DO experience this.....if I have my arm raised in bed or laying straight out, or even bent up for even a few min. my hand/arm falls asleep. It happens frequently while trying to sleep, or if I do get to sleep, I wake up all numb and pins/needles feeling. Can't cross my legs, not even considering how much it hurts, my legs/feet fall asleep. I don't know what the cause is, but it is EXTREMELY annoying!!

Blessings....

Hi there,

Thanks for your input...I was beginning to think I am some sort of E.T. from who knows where!!

It's very nice to see a new face on here, as always! Something for you to know...I've got two shoulders and they are always open for a head that needs one (or both)~

Hope you get all of the answers and support you need. If there's anything I can do...don't hesitate to pm me!

well suzy,

can you guess, yes i get it all the time, my hands alot. sometimes i wake up and can not feel my hands at all and they feel swollen. really not a fun thing at all. i have had it all my life but since the fibro it has gotten a lot worse. dr told me i need to wear braces on my hands when i sleep, like i can do tht i am so closterphobic (probably spelled wrong). i tried it and never could put both on and even with one i was having an attack. but then again this dr also said i had nothing wrong with me. lol

Thank you Suzee,

I had a support group years ago, but it went under for some reason, money, I think. It's always money for everything, isn't it? Anywhoo, I found another site that is amazing and was referred to this one by a new friend I met on that site.

I was just about at the end of my fraying rope!! I could barely make it from day to day, I am in complete pain all the time. I prayed and asked God to please, please give me another support group online, as we live in the middle of nowhere, and I wouldn't be able to go anyway. Driving anywhere is exhausting!! I was given both of these sites in a matter of days, and other's as well. When He gives, He causes the cup to runneth over!!

Thank you for you offer. I am sure that I will be on here venting from time to time. All of us need it, don't we? I have been amazed at the change in my attitude and even my pain since finding online support. I pain level has dropped, and I am so happy!!

I found "The Spoon" but still haven't found the letter to "normals". Do you know where it is? I am going to TRY to convince my DH to join a support group, as I think he really, and truly needs it, but I highly doubt he will do it. Even when our marriage was rocky, he said that he wouldn't go to a therapist. That our problems can be worked out by ourself, that is ASSUMING that even recognizes there IS A PROBLEM TO BEGIN WITH!!

Thanks again. I need these support groups. They will save my sanity!!

A
