 I had posted this under medicine yesterday & didn't see any responses.

Has anyone been able to see the CBS evening news with Katie Couric? They are running specials this week on Chronic Pain. You can go to the CBS web site & view clips.

Last evening they were talking about new medications for pain they can give out without people abusing them. I think this is why allot of doctors won't RX us these meds, for fear of becoming addicted & using them the wrong way. The guy they had on was on oxycotin & used to crush it & take all at once to make the pain go away.

These new pills will make it impossible to abuse, or that is the gist I got. Please check it out if you have a chance.

 LibraJo,I went to the CBS news ebsite and the only article I could find was on ectroshock to the head for pain. That's soething I will never try. Cam you tell me how to fimd the other clips youwere looking at? Thanks Mama Sherri.

 I think it's a great idea if it means doctors will feel more confident in treating chronic pain. I have been left to suffer for far to long because some idiots out there want to abuse meds.
