Hello everyone, I just happened upon a commercial (the very first one I might add) that spoke about Fibromyalgia. I was so shocked I had to rewind my Tivo to watch it several times but was pleasantly surprised to finally see some recognition come from some very strong icons in the medical community which are Pfizer and the National Fibromyalgia Association. The website can be found at www.fibrohope.org and is actually an informational site to educate people on Fibromyalgia. There is also a number you can call which I plan to avail myself of just to find out what it brings me to so I can come back with more to report. Obviously my first thought is .. "What are they selling?" but it honestly seems to be an awareness site and I realized for the first time how refreshing it was to feel validation from a commercial about a disease that we suffer from in varying degrees and experiences which are shared by actual sufferers through video clips which I thought were insightful. The only thing that they addressed as possible treatments for FM being lifestyle change didn't honestly appeal to me as I am stubbornly not willing to yet give up my addiction to Werther's Chews, some of the suggestions are intriguing. I hope you'll take a look and share your thoughts. |
