A few weeks ago I posted a message about starting neurontin. Well after my appointment with my doc last week, she wasn't too pleased with what little progress I was making not to mention that she had weaned me off the topamax that I had been taking for my maigraines, and as I was coming off that my headaches got terribe.

So she weaned me off the neurontin, and is starting me back on topamax. She wants to start me on Elavil next. And is running a TON of lab work as well, she also wants me to do some meditation, and has acted me to get a hand messager that I can use myself, to help loosen some of my muscles around the tender points.

My pain had increased since being off the neuronitn, I guess I didn't realize that it was helping me, but it just wasn't lasting. After 9 am I was in pain and it lasted all day, and she said that I could not live with those migraines...

So Elavil...I think I have heard a few of you taking this, I know its an antidepressant, and used to treat some pain, can any of you tell me more? How has it worked for any of you, any side effects you may have had, additional meds taken with it that seem to increase it's effectiveness?

I am feeling awful today Very very sore...and I'm working, and have to take one of my twins to singing lessons right after...can't wait to get home, and rest with the heating pad!
