[i]I am having extreme pain in my shoulders. I can hardly lift them above my waist. I can feel knots and trigger points all in my shoulder and down my arm. The pain medication doesn't help at all. What can I do-it is worse when I wake up they are so painful and stiff, I can not even move them. What can I do to help this problem and does any one else have this problem-is it typical in people with fibro?

I am really thinking about starting acupucture, I did it when I was in my 20's and it worked really well, so I think I will start it again.

I think you might need a muscle relaxant also. Have you ever used a tens unit? That has helped me a lot in the past. I need to remember to ask my dr about that. Good luck , my friend. I hope it feels better real soon.
