Was hoping that would get some attention. Does everyone with fibro have knots up and down their legs and arms, across the shoulders, etc? Just curious.

Also, I have been out a while due to sickness, duh!

What is Fibro II? Have I missed something?

HI booklady ~ not sure if I welcomed you yet, so a big welcome & hugs to you!

As for the knots in the legs, I am not sure what I have. My quads feel like they have been working really hard lifting weights even though I haven't. I can't seem to get them to relax. I asked my rheumy about it today and he said he didn't know what it's from and told me to discuss it with the PT.

I do get the knots across my neck, shoulders & back - have for years. I also get pain in my right arm, especially my wrist.

as for the fibroII, I think it's a second post cuz the 1st got too long. Otherwise, I am deep in the fog. Well, I am but that is a diff story. LOL

Thanks for reply. I meant to spell Naughty Legs Thank goodness you saw through my spelling. I have knots all over the fibro spots. One doc will say oh it's just cellulite and then another will say something else but my physical therapist I saw awhile ago said that it was knots in the muscles and connectice tissue from the fibro. That a lot of the pain came because of those knots. He said some doc - but didn't remember who had a video out on how to massage these knots out and how to get some minor relief from pain.

okay the naughty legs did get my attention, I was thinking Brad Pitt in shorts, cool!! I have the knotty legs and arms and butt and okay I'll stop. I use the marathan run as a way to expllain to people how it feels to have fibro. The burning and cramping and knotted muscles. I have a book on Myofascial massage and how to do it yourself. It difficult for me because my hands get so tired so quickly. I get my hubby to do it sometimes when the pain is really bad. I had my hip muscles knot up really bad once and I couldn't even walk. the Myofascial is the connictive tissue around the muscles. I had a great physical thearpist expalin all of it too me.

Do you remember the title of the book? My husband would do the massage for me. And oh, my goodness my left hip knotted up so bad a few years ago that I was totally bed ridden for about 2 weeks. It still flares up from time to time. Its so good to know I'm not the only "naughty" one
