MDJunction to me

"I have been struggling with Fibromyalgia, Bipolar, Anxiety, Post traumatic Syndrome for quite some time and pretty much going it alone. I stumbled across MDJunction by accident. I stayed in the shadows and just watched for four days and then I joined, feeling relieved and excited to have found a safe place with alot of folks that I could relate to . It's proove to be medically and emotionally
helpful to me and now I can't go a day without coming in at least 4 or five times a day! I Love my family here.

Usually I just laugh about my bad memory and make a joke about it but yesterday, My hubby and I drove past a resturant and he said something about never going back there again. I said- I've never eaten there -and he looks at me and said yes you have. he then tells me that he and I had gone there a couple of months ago. he even told me what we each had to eat and what wine we had with our meal. Then we go to the wine store and I pick out a wine and say "I've never tried this type" He says, Honey that's what you drink all the time.

For some reason this time it really bothered me. It was scary to me. some things are not a big deal to forget but there are moments that I want to remember. My memory has been worse than ever the past few months.

My children are my memory now. It's so sad when I have to ask them when their birthday's are. they re 12,10 and 4, so it's important to remember! I just bought some Easter toys this morning and now I'm afraid I'll forget them when Easter comes. I've done that several times in the past. but if I wait till the last minute the things I wanted will all be gone. what a life we have to live !!

Isn't it Loverly?! (Like in the movie...loverly....) I just found why I hadn't heard from the grandkids about their Valentine cards....they are still HERE!! (The cards, not the kids. lol) I called my Mom today to tell her somethingI forgot when I just talked to her. By the time it rings and she answers I said Oh H@!! I forgot what I needed to tell you, and it was IMPORTANT!! She said she figured it was since I called right back so quick. I said yeah, it might be quick, but I still can't remember! lol Glad to hear it's not just me.

Pamela {please}

I wish tons of love and hugs!

My memory seems to be getting worse! I don't know if it's due to aging or fibro. Well, probably both!! But still, when someone has to explain an entire day to me and tell me where we went, what we did, what I was wearing and so on...it IS scary!

God Forbid that I have to remember more than one thing at a time! Especially numbers! Perfect example...I JUST read the ages of tea's children...but I can't repeat them. I only know ONE of the three numbers and that's only because her and I have talked about that particular child.

BUT...I CAN remember our phone number in the house I lived in when I started KINDERGARTEN!!!! What's up with that???

What's next???

LOL I was told by some of my Docs that when you sleep there are so many 'levels' of sleep. There is one that converts your day from the present to the past and if you don't get that right level, you don't process and convert. Then your mind is working with the last few days, weeks or months and it 'confuses' it not knowing what is the correct "today" to process. Makes sense. When you were younger you were processing correctly, and sleeping good. I'm the same way. I lived in a blue house at 15703 Lujon St Hacienda Heights CA 91745 with a phone of 213-333-3995. When I married and had my son, I lived at 613-d SE "D" Street Bentonville, AR with a phone of 501 273-1010 and a restaurant was 271-1010 so we always got wrong number calls. More recently when we lived in Rogers AR with my new hubby I can tell you the address, but the phone number fails me big time. LOL

Suzee, you pointed out something that I have been trying to figure out. I have problems remembering stuff all the time. But I have been having memories of things that happned with I was a child. I just dont understand.

I can go out to eat and forget what I ordered before it gets there. I have no problem watching a rerun of a TV program. it is generaly like watching it for the first time all over again.

I have a dry eraser board and I have to write things on it all the time. I write anything that I may need to remember on the calender. My daugher will call me on someones birthday and say, "do you remember what today is"? lol, she is my memorey a lot of the time.

I'm glad you've got your daughter to do that for you!

You're LUCKY!!!

The dry eraser board sounds like a great idea....but I'd forget what it was I went to write on it by the time I get there.

That would be me!!!!!!

My house is a post it house. I have post its pasted everywhere so I'll remember what I am doing. Its not the nicest look but it helps. What screws me up is when someone throws one away i also have four calendars I write everything on all of them so I know what has to be done that day. I learned to write my life on paper as soon as I think of it or else I will most certainly forget. Post It notes are my life saver though id be lost without them. And for some reason my I's aren't typing right but I don't feel like changing them now so if you see a little i just imagine a big I there LOL
