Today I am suffering like mad!

I woke up with a sinus headache, took some sudafed and tylenol, finally got moving, and went for a bike ride to drop my daughter off at her friends house, the way back was a b*tch with the wind just trying to blow me down.

I also did some good cleaning yesterday, taking advantage of my body not hurting.

Well, this morning, before I even got out of bed, my feet hurt. As I sit down this morning, its all I can do to sit up. My shoulders, chest, spine,ankles....they hurt so bad.

I don't really have much to do today, so I'm just going to veg on the couch, my only other choice is to pop a pain pill, which I really rather not do.

I guess I just can't get use to this yet. The Fibro - because yesterday I think I'm fine, then today proves me wrong.

I feel like I can't look forward to doing things anymore, because I know if I do anything strenous, i'm going to suffer. I'm VERY stubborn about taking pain medications.

Anyway, I just needed to vent. Dizzy

Hi there Inked!

You vent away! That is what happens to me. I overdo myself one day and pay the next...but I don't have any regrets. I see my family's faces when they see me up and doing things, especially cooking.

Enjoy your good days when you get them!

hi inked, I'm glad you decided to vent, that's why we're here. We've all done it and hopefully it makes you feel better. I know exactly how you feel, it's like your describing me. I too used to feel that way about pain meds, any meds actually but now I take a combo of meds to give me some quality of life. I am a very strong willed person but this disease started to win out and take over my life. I slowly accepted that my life will never be the same but I will learn to live around the fibro among other things. I refuse to let it completely take over my life. With that being said if there is medication that will help me be a better mom, mammy, wife, etc. then it's at least worth trying. There's nothing wrong with being stubborn and fighting this....just don't suffer needlessly. Okay I'm done babbling. Gentle hugs to you, let us know how you're feeling later if you're up to it.

I am so glad that you felt better yesterday, it is very frustrating when you feel good and do something that you finally do something that you really want to do and then have to pay for the next few days. Sometimes, I feel that it is worth it though when it is for my kids or family.

wow! you sound just like me. I resist them too. I cleaned yesterday, but I didn't right a bike. Now that takes nerve I don't have. lol

It was enough for me to clean.

Hey the way I look at it, is heck we tried, that's the important thing. Right? So what we might be on the couch the next day. We still accomplished.

hugs to ya and a way to go!

Erin, it's so good to see you again!

I've been thinking a lot this week how our good days are so often followed by bad ones Sad It is really hard to get used to.

You're doing all the right things, though, and I'm glad you don't have much to do today.

Feel better!

Thanks everyone. The hardest part is knowing if I have a good day and "use" it, that the tomorrow will be a crummy one.

Happens to me, too! I'm learning to be grateful for the good days when I can accomplish something!
