I am new fibromyalgia and since all the pain started I have been experiencing painful bowel movements. It actually feels as though I have a cut when I have to release a bowel movement. It makes me not want to go to the bathroom. There is no blood in my stool or when I wipe, it just hurts like I have a cut. Is this a part of fibro or a separate issue? I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem.

It might be part of the IBS. I would try a stool softener or eatting more fiber.
I have dystonia, neuropathy, gerd, arthritis, and fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel and other ailments. I enjoy embroidery, music, and reading my Bible and Christian books. I love to bake. I try to be very supportive and positive.

I think it may be due to the iron pills I have to take because my iron is low. I try to eat as much fiber as possible to keep the stools softer. Thanks for the advice!!
