I also have endo. I had a laproscopy April of last year which gave me my official dx and also removed the endo buildup. I've been on birth control now for the past year and it's been great. I only have a few periods a year so it helps because when I have my periods I get so worn down and my fibro symptoms are ten times worse. What is interesting was the fact that my dx of endometriosis actually helped my dx of fibro. The doc said that these two diseases go hand in hand for many women and he was not surprised that I suffered from both. So I would definitely find a new doc. My gyno was fabulous I had suffered for years thinking it was all normal but when I finally went to get checked he had me in surgery within the month and feeling so much better. So hold on to hope and get a new doc because there are some who care. Unfortunately for me my gyno is the only doc that does but at least I know I have one doc who cares. Smile Good luck with this and I hope you find relief.

I had a 17 year battle with endo, cysts, and pelvic pain. I know all too well what it's like. The only definitive way to diagnose it is by laparoscopic surgery. They can take care of any spots of endo they find while they're in there, then treatment is usually birth control pills, sometimes continuously so you don't have periods any more, I really encourage you to talk to your new GYN about it. Hopefully, she will take your concerns seriously. My case was pretty extreme...17 years of pain, several laparoscopic surgeries, and finally hysterectomy, including removing the ovaries. Most women don't have it that bad, and can be managed medically (without surgery) after the diagnosis is confirmed by laparoscopy. However, left untreated, it can affect fertility, so I encourage you to address it now. I pray you find the answers to what's going on with you, and that your new doc will take your concerns seriously!

Blessings & hugs~

P.S. Feel free to PM me any time you have questions...I'll do my best to answer them. Smile
