Hi Amy, I have a question for you. I would like to find a doctor in my area who is knowledgeable about Fibromyalgia but don't know how to go about doing it. I was wondering if I called my insurance provider if they would have a list of doctors in my area who could help me. If I went to a rheumy would I still have to have a regular GP doc? Or could he/she be ok to go to all the time? I recently starting going to a new dr because I heard how wonderful she was...and she is very easy to talk to but I have a problem with her when it comes to calling in on updates on my taking Lyrica. When I call I don't receive a call back for at least 2 - 3 days. That is too long to wait. One thing I can say for my old doc is that he would return my calls the same day or even as late as 9 at night from home. I stopped going to him because he doesn't believe in Fibro or else he is too proud to admit he doesn't know much about it. Any suggestions would be very helpful to me.

Take care and looking forward to hearing from you....Charlotte

You're...
My friend,
My companion,
Through good times and bad,
My friend,
My buddy,
Through happy and sad,
Beside me you stand,
Beside me you walk,
You're there to listen,
You're there to talk,
With happiness,
With smiles,
With pain and tears,
I know you'll be there, throughout the years!
You are all good friends to me and I am grateful to you.

I know u were writing to someone else, but, i would like to ask where do u live? Alot of people can help u if we knew where u lived? that is ashame about your old doctor, this hurts, i cant imagine anyone not believing us but they r out there, my attorney doesnt believe me either that why im getting screwed with the accident that i had that really started all of the intense pain. He told me this 3 wks ago and then decided to settle for 25K my bills come to 39K. He said oh well i can talk everyone down. Well, u dont need to hear all of my problems today. sorry! Also, it depends on ur insurance as to whether u keep ur GP or not. Well anyways, let us know where u live and we will work fm there ok. Thank you Mesafoxx

Hi Messa, Thank you for replying. And oops, I did forget to mention where I livce,lol....must have been in lala land. I live in Dallas, Pennsylvania where right now it is freezing cold, brrrr, how I hate the cold as I am sure all of us do. It plays such havoc on our pain. I have good insurance that will take anyone. If they are outside the network then I do pay some but if I could find someone I don't care what the cost is as long as they could help and not be afraid to give me something that would help me be a little normal again. When I think of all the things I used to do - kayaking, biking, hiking, camping with hub I could cry. He still can do those things but he always tells me it is no fun without me there to enjoy it with him.

I am sorry for your troubles with that %$@hole lawyer (I am allowed to do that?). Don't you wished that just once you could land a nice solid punch in some jerk's face when they doubt Fibro and its pain? I didn't have an accident that started all this but sometimes I wonder if it all intensified after the back surgery I had back in '01.

As usual I have started to ramble.

Never feel that no one wants to hear your problems. Anytime you want to PM me and vent Please do so.

A friend in pain, Charlotte

Was your accident bad? I am happy you survived it.
