Hi there... this is my first post. I have been fighting with myofacia pain syndrome for over two years now. I did not like it when the dr told me that this is the way I will feel forever so I did the research I needed to find something to help me. Well I came up with a dr in Chicago area that performs prolotherapy treatments. It is a series of shots at trigger points that will help rebuild the tissue and tendons in that area. It really helped! I had three or four treatments and seens a huge difference in my pain. Now I just was rear ended in another car accident and it is flaired up again. I will be scheduling another appointment as soon as I possibly can, it is expensive but so are all those drugs we are taking and it isn't a cure like prolo is! I think you should all check it out! Welcome lanajo! I have never heard of prolotherapy before, so will have to look into it. I am glad you found us. Everyone here is very supportive, so sit back, relax and post away. We are here to ask ?'s, vent, be silly, learn from each other & everything in between. This is a great family and we're glad you joined us! |

is this the same as what is called needling? I've had these types of trigger point injections before. Sometimes it helped but other times it put me into a flare. I've stopped going as it was often very inconvienent to go as I need someone to take me [couldn't drive after the needling in my neck and shoulders] I was just rear ended about a month ago and it certainly put me into another flare. Not fun. Hope this continues to work for you! I hate having myofacial pain as well. Cinnabon

Im wondering if that is what my dr doing forme. I had 7 shots in shoulder. She said come back in two weeks for another 7 shots. Thanks. Im going tolook at that. I have dystonia, neuropathy, gerd, arthritis, and fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel and other ailments. I enjoy embroidery,music, and reading my Bible and Christian books. I love to bake. I try to be very supportive and positive. |

Hope u all don't think I'm crazy, but 2006 i left work on a medical because my back, left shoulder, elbow, hand, leg (complete foot and all) hurt like the dickens. My Dr. practitioner kept me out of work for 2 wks couldnt find anything wrong and on Mon. when i went to see her she said i want u to start back to work next Mon, i told her then i wasnt ready yet all of the pain was still here. I was like whatever, on Thur, of that week I was on I-10 west in Phoenix and let me tell u what i was hit in the back and the 1st hit wasnt bad but that 2nd hit made even my brain moved inside my skull, it hurt so bad, my mother was with me and i was concerned about her healed broken neck she got 2yrs b-4. so needless to say forgot my pain alot and started asking my mom things, I got no ticket, i was actually told by a cop how proud he was at how i handeled my car. should have went to hospital for everything, but i said no ill go to my doctor. He was like u sure i said yes, i needed to b there for my mom. the doctor couldnt see me until monday , they couldnt even see me inbetween appts. you have appt on Monday come in then, ok, by then i could barley move. What im trying to say is Ive hurt that long from july of 06 to present and i havent found anything to release this pain. and i also wanted u to know i too was hit fm behind. Everything has been a total mess ever since Aug 3rd 2006 im not joking. my attorney doesnt even believe there is such a thing as fibromyalsia, or any of it. Im now finding out just how much he really doesnt believe in it. bills came to 39K and the man is settling for 25K he said dont worry everyone will come down on there bills, i was like well i dont want to. Do either one of u have a suit going on? if so, would u let me know whats going on with ur case? Let me know how u all r? Maybe even give some advice. No suit, but people told me I should I should have. I had 2 back to back grand mal seizures in the middle of the night years ago. I don't remember it, and my memory is fuzzy around that time. After that, the pain (I found out from fibro) was very intense. The docs told me it was from the seizurures. I was in the hospital for a week with no diagnosis. While I was there, I was told that my employer never filed my insurance paperwork and I was not covered. Worse yet, he was (is my cousin). So needless to say I did not want to sue my family, but did not have that kind of money a year and a half from a divorce and living in a basement apartment. My cousin paid a few thousand dollars, stopped paying, didn't tall me, ruined my credit and left me with the remainder. We used to be very close. I am still close with his mother (she is my godmother) and she doesn't know he stopped paying. I don't have the heart to tell her. So, I don't think you're crazy, no crazier than me. The thing is, no one believes us. SSI didn't believe me either. |

I do have a lawsuit against the person that hit me the first time. I don't know what will happen with my new rear end accident. We have just started the process so I do not know what will happen. PLEASE ALL YOU CHECK OUT www.caringmedical.com ! If you are only getting 7 shots you are not getting prolotherapy. I get around 100 to 150 shots in one setting.. It works! I will be going back for this wreck because it is the only CURE out there that will fix you and make you better. He is a licensed dr. and he will figure it out until you are better! Don't waste your time and money on six or seven shots they are not going to help you. I tried that first and I know for a fact I am living proof that prolotherapy works! MAKE IT A GREAT DAY! it sounds like this is just for ligaments and tendons, not for muscles. It wouldn't help for trigger points in muscles. Thats what most of my pain comes from. Cinnabon

I was in a car wreck in '96 and it was a hit and run the lady was only found out because her liscense plate was in front of my car. My car was totaled after being hit and spinning I dont know how many times. I thought I was just bruised and scrapped up from the seat belt but after the police came and my husband got there I went to lift the car door opener and my whole right side went numb. Needless to say I was in therapy the rest of the year. And she was a big time person in the city so I won just enough to pay my medical and lawyer. No money for pain or suffering, nothing for car rental and having to get new car nothing. Because she had the money for good lawyers and I didnt she didnt even get in trouble for the hit and run and filing a false police report. My arm still won't straighten out because the tendons were messed up from hitting the door so hard. and my back was so messed up I had a hump for a couple of months I was fine after therapy. But I think this is what started my fibro problem and the dizziness. Then after the inhaling of the mold spores in Fl. and almost dieing thats what threw me thru the ringer I will never be the same. AND now I forgot what this topic was about so I'll stop typing now even though I know I must have a point to this story and just can't remember it LOL Oh I didn't take an ambulance to the hospital. I had my husband bring me. They said I would of made ten times as much if I just took the ambulance isnt that stupid. |

hi there did you have your acciedent in fl ? I was from fl. still my home but live in upstate ny,,I was in a very bad wreak also,,fl. is a no faut state your insurance should of paid your bills? I suffer from fibro and myofacia and numerous disk and other body STUFF/ mine was 2003,,fibro happens from sever trama to body,when were you diagnoised??here for you, Fibro BUDDY,,, I HAVE BEEN STUDYING UP ON FIBRO. I HAVE DECIEDED TO DO IT NUTRIONALY, AND USING AS LITTLE MEDS AS POSSIABLE!SCIENCE HAS FOUND WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!NOW WE CANIMPROVE OUR HEALTHWITH WHAT GOD HAS PROVIDEDNATURAL.WITH HIM ALL THINGS ARE POSSIABLE!!! |
