Lately I have found myself yelling at my husband, kids, and animals. I am so short on patience it scares me. Then I go into the guilts.

I know how that is....before hubby left to go back to work I was like that with everyone! I was sooo upset with myself, I couldn't help it though. Now, he is not here, I am not like that, but, the cats wouldn't stay in the same room with me even if I was. And I feel soo bad afterwards too.

Oh, my poor animals. They are trying to get away, too. Everyone is getting on my nerves so bad. Are they really annoying or is it me?

Sounds like you might suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)! I told my dr a couple years ago that I was the Wicked Witch of the West the whole month of February. She told me to get a Lux Lite and sit in front of it every day. I did and it made a BIG difference! Might look into that and see!

But this is my favorite time of year. I love the snow. I'm not sure its that, because this has happened in the dead of summer, too.

Well dead of summer doesn't sound like that fits in. I don't know. It just sounded so much like what I went through that I put it out there for you to investigate. Sorry it wasn't an easy one. (Like any of them ever are)

My therapist seemed to think the anger comes from the powerlessness of it all... I had the bouts of anger growing up, too. Thanks for your help guys, as always, its just so nice having someone there to hear you...

I'm usually pretty quiet and my voice is not that strong but somedays I walk through the house yelling at everyone, even the friends my kids have over. they all duck and cover! Then I go back through the house telling everyone I'm sorry. They all just say It's okay mom we know your in a lot of pain. Then I want to cry because they are so great at dealing with this all.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel -- but it's a train about to run over you.

It usually takes alot for me to get mad. So my family knows if I do start yelling its because I had enough. They still try to push me to the limit like any other teenager would but then they know they are in trouble if I start yelling and they back off for a couple days.
