Well I found out this morning that SS has made their decision and as expected it was denied. I told my hubby and he was actually surprised. I told him that I expected it to be denied the first time.

So as soon as I get my letter I will start the process of fighting it. Hopefully it will get approved the next time around but then again I don't expect it either. So here we go.

I've been there. Even though you expected it, it doesn't make it any easier to swallow. Whatever you do don't give up hope, get ready for round 2. I'll be cheering you on.

So sorry to hear you were denied. Just keep at it.

I get this feeling that they turn everyone down. If you jump threw enough hoops, they just feel like you deserve to get it. Hahaha.

Hang in there! I was denied twice. I figured I would be. But I still cried. Both times!

Just keep fighting for it, you'll get it eventually. They just want us to give up. And as little energy as we may have... us Fibromites never give up!

I keep telling everyone- If only the people at social security would understand! We didn't choose this darn thing! It chose us! And it doesn't discriminate against anyone! No matter their race, age, etc.

Just remember- We're survivors!!!

We'll be thinking about ya! Let us know how things go.

wife and mom, you and i are in the same boat of waiting, i too have been turned down 1 time did the appeal and now I'm waiting for the 2nd denial. I cried the 1st time and maybe this time too, i hope i wont cry too many more time's.

Today I lost my long-term disability. They carried me for 1yr and decided i can work with these problems that I have, fms, cfs, mps, cps, diabetic, crn (can't remember nothing) degenerative disc disease, I have asthma or (copd) which ever we want to call it, and neuropathy, need i go on? I'm sure I'm leaving something out. I take a lot of medications 3 of which i can fall asleep at any time. i was told to show up for Jury duty, I wanted to do it, I thought cool I'm going to get out of the house a few hours a day, I let my Dr. know and he said absolutely not. you can not concentrate, you cant remember what someone has said to u 5 minutes ago, and u cant sit longer than 5 minutes. Among a few other things, you have to many problems to put a persons life in ur hands. You can't even work. No Way! I agreed with him, he was so right. (As i thought about it.) OK, now that I've vented what do i do? i have bills to pay. I have a car payment, cant loose it i only have 1 vehicle. I rent wont b able to pay the rent and utilities, food I could probably live without it for a yr and still be heavy, oh my, I need my medicine, I don't know what to do, talk about stress, right now I'm just to stressed out. So, is there anyone out there that has been through this that could lead me in the right direction? Please. I'm not quite desperate yet, but the closer it gets to the end of the month the worse I'm going to b getting I'm sure. Thank you everyone for allowing me to vent and tell you all of my problems, this forum is all I have. Love you all. Margie

Talk with your doc. let them know you need help with your medications. There are programs out there that will pay for your meds.

With all of us here, we should be able to come up with ideas to help out.

I will think more and see what I can come up with in the next few days.

I am sorry to hear about your problems. I was through this and still going thru it actually. I had no income since 2/2006 when I filed my ss. I finally have my hearing date for next week. I too had rent, car payment, meds, etc etc. I was able to get meds through the drug company assistance programs. That helped there. Thank God I have good parents that have helped me a little with some of the other bills but not all. Can you check with you local social services office also. Maybe they can be of some assistance in some way to help. They can help with food,, sometimes cash and utilites. I have used all these resources, even though it is not something I hated to do. Try to not stress anymore than you have to, that is only going to make your conditions act up more. But I know that is easier said than done...I have been there. Wishing you luck.
