Hi, my name is Dotti, and I'm new to this site. I was wondering if anyone is feeliing as much pain as I am right now. I was diagnosed with RA 6 months ago, and my joints hurt also. Sometimes I don't know where the fibro begins and the RA ends. I'll tell you I'm tired of being tired and being in pain. I would appreciate if someone could post me please. I'm not normally like this. I like to think I handle this pretty well, but not now. Thanks in advance for any answers.

I have ra and fibro also. The ra is in the joints and the fibro is in the muscles.. You will need some antiinflammatary for the ra and muscle relaxant for fibro. You probably need something for sleep. Mostly you need your dr to see what he thinks will work. For some lyrica or neurontin help a lot and others not. I hope this helps. If you want you can pm me. Welcome to this site.

Hi singingangel, Thanks so much for responding, I do know about the difference between the fibro and ra. It's just that right now it's never ending pain. What do you take for sleep? I take Ambien CR. I see you're also new too! If you want, you can also pm me too if you like to talk about anything. Thanks again!

Dotti. I take celexa. It is an anti depressannt. My insurance wont pay for ambien cr or other sleep meds. I also take one of my neurontin and muscle relaxant at same time. Then I have my CPAPmachine which kind of rhythmically lulls me to sleep. I am sorry you are going through a hard time. I just got 7 shots in my back at my worse spot soI actually feel better than normal. I think maybe a nice hot soak in the bath with epsom salts and CD and candles should help.

Hi Lori, thanks for your response. I'm sorry your insurance co won't allow you to get ambien cr or any other sleep meds. I do love candles, but I can't down into the tub, cause I can't get up again, but I will make it. I'm just having a particularly hard time now. Take care, and feel free to post me again. It's been nice talking to you.

Hugs, ~Dotti~

Hi Dotti and welcome. I am dorry you are having such a bad day today. That seems to be a common thing today.

This may seem silly, but I keep a little bag of lavender flowers by where I sit, the smell of lavender is relaxing. That seems to help me relax a bit and then I get a little more relife. I even use lavender soap in the shower and I burn lavender soy candles. I do everything I can to try and relax.

Hi Dragonfly, thanks for responding to my post. I guess we're all having some bad days lately. I'm from PA, and the temperature here this morning was 9 degrees, and the wind was really blowing. My joints are really hurting, and the fibro is kicking up too. The candles sound like a really nice thing. I burn them a fair amount of time. Again thanks for the reply, and I hope to talk to you soon. Take care Dotti

I hear you Dotti! I'm also from Pa and the weather has been absolutely frigid and so windy the last few days. Mydragonfly is so right. I also use lavender lotion and it is very relaxing. I don't know if you have a fireplace, but I love to lay in my family room with the lights off and the fireplace on. Itis very relaxing.

Hi Prince, I know I answered before about being your friend, but I wanated to answer you again and I went through my e-mails. The weathere is so bad now asyou well know, but thanks heavens it's not as windy as it was last night. I don't know about you, but the cold does real havoc on the Fibro and my joints. You know I do feel sorry for myself even though I try not to, but I guess it's only human. Hope I'll talk to you again. Take care Dotti
