MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter she is so young. She should be enjoying life. My nephew was like that for about a year and they found out he cant eat breads or carbs or something I forgot exactly what it is. But there was a name for it, it just took around a year to figure it out. I can find out for you if you'd like. I think he is on a gluten ?? free diet now.I dont know cant remember I need sleep

windfire; Yes I think the name your lookng for is Celiac Disease. Thats what one Doctor said. And after going on a gluten-free diet, for at least 8 months it didn't do any good. And believe me that diet can be expensive. Anyway we also had her on pro-biotics. Some people think it related to my fibro. If it is, Im keeping my eyes posted to Hamptons post. If that Doctors treatment works, I may be driving to Texas.

Hi Foggy,

Im sorry to hear what you daughter is going through. I havestep son that has been very ill all his life and know how hard it is for you.

I have a friend with a daughter with Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome, and her episodes are triggered by the scent of any petrolium based products. It took ears for them to figure it out. She also can barely tolerate strong perfume, or scented candles with out developing a head ache that will lead to the vomiting. I know that the mosre stress she is under the more likely she is to have an episode. She is even home schooled because she couldn't deal with all the scents, and would end up getting sick all the time.

Perhaps it's something you can look into with your daughter...I will keep you in my prayers...Please keep us all up to date on how she is doing. Good Luck!
