"My mother is dealing with chronic pain and has fibromyalgia" (worrieddaughter09)

MDJunction to me

"I have been struggling with Fibromyalgia, Bipolar, Anxiety, Post traumatic Syndrome for quite some time and pretty much going it alone. I stumbled across MDJunction by accident. I stayed in the shadows and just watched for four days and then I joined, feeling relieved and excited to have found a safe place with alot of folks that I could relate to . It's proove to be medically and emotionally
helpful to me and now I can't go a day without coming in at least 4 or five times a day! I Love my family here.

What do you do for your dry mouth from the meds we take? I cant chew gum cause it gives me TMJ. I have been drinking like a fish. Then I cant go out anywhere cause Ill need to use restroom. Just wondering what you all do.
I have dystonia, neuropathy, gerd, arthritis, and fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel and other ailments. I enjoy embroidery, music, and reading my Bible and Christian books. I love to bake. I try to be very supportive and positive.

try sicking on ice or hard candy. That way you dont take in so much liquid. Sometimes I freeze grapes and eat them slow. They are full of wather and when frozen, you dont eat them as fast. Hope I could help some.

I know...it's a 'catch 22' but I will say that no matter how many times you gotta go to the bathroom...we need to drink LOTS OF WATER. They say that the average person is supposed to drink what?...8 glasses a day.

Well, WE should be drinking MORE than that! We need it to not only hydrate but water does something for our burning and aching muscles as well. And, peeing every 30 minutes only means that our system is getting cleansed...which is what we REALLY need!!

Also, water in your system gets our 'energy' moving...and I know we could all use more energy! So, it's worth those trips to the bathroom for what water does for our bodies!

Another 'tip' from my Acupuncturist!!
