Onelyfe, welcome to our happy home. We're glad to have you.

Fibromyalgia has MANY symptoms. You may get some of them, you may get all of them, I suspect it's even possible to have new ones that nobody's heard of yet.

In other words, it's an insidious little monster that robs us of most of the things we hold near and dear. Yet, the good news is that it's not fatal, so I'm optimistic!

Hang around. Somehow we all manage to help each other get through a lot of it. Smile

Onelyfe, welcome to the group. I know you said you just found out you had fibro how long have you known about the lupus? I think that the two have a lot of over lapping symptoms. I know for me fibro has made me very tired , sore and alot of times forgetful. There are a lot of people with varing degrees of this and some do not even take meds for it so you will see and hear all forms of it. Take a look around the site and ask lots of questions, I am sure you will find lots of information.

lupus i have known since 2007 but i started the flare up in sept of last year. i sleep the most has been 4 hours but thats when im lucky or to the point of exhaustion. when i wake i am ok until around 3pm when my body feels like it will shut down on me. i have forgoten so many appointments the doctors are getting agrravated but i forget almost instantly and i some times will be having a conversation with someone and im not sure if i block them out or loose focus but i miss the conversation and they look at me like i am ignoring them or like im crazy. i have horrible migraines and so much pain in my joints that sometimes i cant move. they did give me a medicine but i am also on 8 other meds so its really taken a toll on my body and my energy. i used to be able to run for 2 hours and play soccer, i also used to work in a garden center liftin 50 pounds all day and building grills and still have energy to take care of my lil one but now im lucky to make it thru the day without pain. i am trying so hard to stay positive and pull thru for my son but everyday is getting harder and harder. im not sure if the meds are wearing off or im getting worse but i just dont know where to go from here im just living literally one moment at a time.

Onelyfe, one thing my doctor and I talked about when he first diagnosed me is about the meds. I didn't know squat about fibro, and he was telling me about the script he was going to write and yada yada yada. I asked him if one of the things about fibro is that you can have meds work for awhile, like two or three months and then they don't really work anymore.

He just looked at the floor, kind of resigned and said, "Yes."

I had been on three drugs that when I first got them gave me HUGE relief, but then it just seemed like they stopped working.

Maybe it's something you should talk to your doctor about. Maybe you need to switch up your meds.
