Morton's foot is a common foot problem caused when the second toe is longer than the first toe. I have this problem and only found out about it while reading a "Trigger Point Therapy " workbook. I get extreme pain in between my toes and on the balls of my feet. I have found wearing very comfortable shoes helps and message.

Does anyone else have this problem?

There is a light at the end of the tunnel -- but it's a train about to run over you.

I have lots of pain in the balls of my feet, the heels, and along the outside of my right foot. Sometimes the tendon from the ankle bone up aldo hurts-right foot. Found some lumps on my left foot. Not sure how long they have been there. Just one more thing I have to take care of in my "free" time.

Morton's foot is also known as "Fibro Foot" because it's so common among us.

Until I learned about it I was using a cane to get around.

Aftert reading about it last year in The Fibromyalgia Advocate (now you know why I push the book) I got a pair of orthotics made & bought a proper pair of shoes for them. Since then I've had much less pain because if you walk/stand funny things get out of alignment & then they get irritated & then they hurt, which triggers myofascial pain which then gets amplified by the fibro so the myofascia clamps down more, causing more pain which is them reamplified, Whew! All because of foot problems.

A couple of notes - As well as the padding under the ball of the foot the orthotic needs to be of the soft kind, mine have some kind of foam padding.

I suggest you go to an orthopedic shoe store - Foot Solutions are a good chain.

Do get a copy of the book! just the infomation on proper footwear will pay for the cost of the book
