Hi everyone,

I bought myself an Irobot that does dog hair and dander and I Love It. I just turn it on and it does the work for me. It cleans better than me and my old vaccume. The only drawback is, I have to empty the bin in the middle of cleaning because I have 5 great danes (we rescue the old and unwanted ones from Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue in Denver). Other than that it's great!

I have hardwood floors and I love my Swiffer. It weighs next to nothing so even I can clean the floors, which helps feel like I am doing something to help my family keep the house clean.
May life always bring you laughter.

Marian what a sense of humor you have, 18 y/o and a sweeper!

When my DDs were in middle school & high school and would be ground, I found out that they were talking on the phone. I would unplug the phone and put it in the washing machine and throw some towels on top. I knew they would NEVER do a load of laundry so I didn't worry about them finding it. If they need to get a hold of Dad or Me they just has to go next door and use their phone.

I have the best sweeper in the entire world. His name is Dave. When I start to sweep, I start to sweat and because of the Mitral Valve Regurg, I start to get out of breath and breathe thru my mouth. He see's what a mess I'm in and takes over sweeping for me and tells me to go sit down and rest. Now don't think he's always like that, sometimes when he sees the vacuum coming out, he jumps in his car and leaves for a couple of hours.

only problem with having Fibro and Teens and housework is she sees me sit often becauseof fibro and she tends to imitate me but I do get back to work where as she never seems to get back up....hmmm she does have ADD so it might be that a squirrel runs by and she forgets what the vaccum n the middle of the floor is for???

Tom will run the sweeper once in a grat while for me. The girls didn't know what a sweeper was until after they moved out.

Two years ago at Thanksgiving oldest DD who was 27 at the time asked if she could help me. I told her to peel the potatoes. She didn't know where I kept the potato peeler. Got it out and handed it to her. A few minutes later she is still standing there holding the peeler and a potato and she says "How do you peel a potato?"

I guess you could say they were spoiled as I never fixed instant potatoes back then.

yeah I know what you mean dfor me when I moved out it was the drip pans on the stove I dont know who I thought cleaned them but for about 2 months I didnt and then realized that IF I DIDNT no one would...LOL...

for the 2 DD that are outo f the house it was realizing that trash from the night before ie soda cans etc did not miricliously get up during the night and jump in the garbage can, and that the meal prep dishes did not clean themselves.....

dont you just love it

Gotta ask have you looked down and seen your Mom's hands coming outof your sleeves yet? when I realized my hands had begum to look like my Mom's I CRIED!

most self perpelled vacs are the way to go I had a canester vac I love but they make them to break now Ive gone threw many we live on a dirt pile,so my husband gets a shop vac..has anyone tried to vaccume carpet with it dont I should put that in "stupid things my husband does, dont"

house work for me is bad because I never could surface clean and I dont feel my house is clean if I dont re-arrange it,now I can barely do a thing and Im not one to ask for help then I get mad because no one does help its a circle but one thing I have done was try to re arrange my kitchen to make things easier to reach if I use it alot and heaveier things on more level for me to lift, you really have to think how the kitchen is more functinal for you..
