Hey,

I was wondering if any of you have a vaccume cleaner you can use without pain. I have an upright hoover. It cleans pretty good but by the time I get done with one room, my back, legs and hands ache. We rescue aging Great Danes and they shed so I need to vaccume often. Any suggestions????

Hello!

yeah i know of aomething that may help, this is the OT in me coming out! Its called a 'roomba robotic vacuum cleaner' and its £149 on a UK website, its a fab little hoover that does the work for you. Will try and find the website name you can buy it from, but it will probably come up if you 'google' it.

hope this helps. TC, claire

Thank you for that info. I will go on line and look up the one that does dog hair. We adopt old and sick great danes and they do shed so I have to vaccume several times a week. Vaccuming just kills my back and hands.

Thanks again

I also have fibro.e installed a central vacuum. It is alot lighter and more convenient to use.Yes it is expensive then again so are all those prescriptiond for pain killers and muscle relaxers. Something worth thinking about.

I know I'm very late on saying anything on this subject, but if anyone is still interested, I recently got an Oreck. Its so light weight that you don't feel like you're even cleaning. The suction power is greater than any vacuum I've ever had. I have lower back problems, fibromyalgia, etc... but can still vacuum by myself. My sister has upper back problems and she had bought one first, then recommended it to me. They come in all price ranges. I love the free cordless iron you get too!! The free canister vac I paid to upgrade and I'm glad I did. This one is on wheels so its very easy to use. It also does hard floors so you don't have to hurt your back sweeping with a broom.

I love Oreck also. Its only 5 lbs. It does very well on cleaning. I still need to wait for good day though to use it. Real bad spasm in shoulder all the time. Anyway I have had no repairs with it either and it is 7 yrs old. I highly reccomend it.
