Oh, poor babies, my heart goes out to them. My nephew had a hernia when he was younger. Let us know how it goes.

Hi all........ I'm 31. Don't know if that is young enough to be a young fibromite, but I'm gonna comment on this post by chickiepoo to Mandie. I am currently out of work on FMLA/Short term dis. I'm working on a list of accomodations to submit to my supervisor... they are very minor, but one of my requests is to have access to my "equipment" throughout my work day. I have tons of hot pads - electrical, and the microwave kind. I found a WONDERFUL one at TJ MAXX the other day. It is called an "THERA-BELT", and it's made by "Earth Therapeutics". You can use it hot or cold, but the cold doesn't really get cold enough, but it is wonderfully convienient. It's supposed to be for your lower back, or for your pms cramps so it has a lovely velcro strap which is big and effective. It's soooo comfortable, and allows for complete mobility - stays in place.

Anyway, those are my recent purchases. I, too have a car/chair seat massager/heater/cooler for my car, mostly. It is hard for me to tolerate driving - and I have to do it a lot! It plugs into your cigarette lighter, and also has a plug for regular outlets. It is made by "Homedics", and I was very fortunate to stumble upon it at a department store that was having a HUGE sale. I got it for $29.99! The store is Bon Ton. Don't know if you have any of those wherever you are....

Anyway - Something caught my eye, and I was just trying to help out if I could Smile

You're going to make one? Ugh. I wouldn't even know how to go about doing that. I guess rice is the key? But then you'd have to sew, right?

lol yeah, sewing....there's also a nifty company called BedBuddy that makes heating pads of all kinds that you heat in the microwave!

here's an example:
