I want to have another baby, but I am very scared to come off of my medicines. I have two girls age 4 and 6 and I did not have fibromyalgia with them. Do anyone have any experiences been pregnant while having fibromyalgia?

I was just diagnosed with fibro and I have a 10mo old. I've had this for at least 2yrs. I kept telling my OBGYN that something was wrong. there were plenty of days that I couldn't get out of bed and I was in so much pain. she just blew me off. I also had kidney stones and was able to take vicodin. It's safe to take while being preggo. after my daughter was born I was still in pain and felt weak. that's when I started going to my primary dr. It did seem worse to me while being preggo, but at least you already know you have it and maybe there are meds you can take. I wish you lots of luck if you decide to have another child.

I first began suffering from fibro. when I was pregnant with my last of three kids. The doc. suspected something arthritis-like, but wanted to wait until well after delivery to make sure that it wasn't a pregnancy related condition. After delivering I got worse, not better and that's when we pursued a rheumatologist who diagnosed me. Honestly, I had my easiest labor and delivery with that one (of course with the help of meds). I don't know now that my fibro. is even worse than it was then if I would want to be pregnant again. I understand your concerns. Have you asked your OB about it? Good luck with your decision.
