MDJunction to me

jpcrps"When I found MD Junction, I was in the beginning stages of RSD/CRPS. I was scared, lacked knowledge about the condition, and felt very alone.

MD Junction changed all of that for me. I found friendship and terrific information from people who had first-hand knowledge of this syndrome. It was and still is a big part of my life.

MDJ was my first step on the journey of grief; from denial to acceptance. I am now inspired to help others by sharing this amazing site and sharing my own experiences. I am very impressed that one forum site can provide hope and inspiration to people suffering from so many different conditions. I am proud to be a part of this community.

I was just in the hospital for 5 days and before he admitted me, he had to turn me over to another dr. because he was leaving town. He gave me the option of which ever doctor I wanted and how to be treated. He left orders that I was to be given enough pain meds to be comfortable and anything possible to keep me breathing. This time I was in for asthma. Which trying to breathe for days and days is very painful. I just had a gut feeling that I shouldnt give up on him. I never asked him about the weekend that I was hung up on from the ER. He did prescribe me stronger pain medication. I am also taking morphine 30 mg twice a day and also take Lortabs for my flare up days. I havent been able to get back to work yet. but hopefully soon. I have missed being able to check on here. Especially to get a break and a laugh.

HI!!! pkayjo. Excuse my fog girlie girl - I don't know if we have met yet. I was out for a bit, so please forgive if I have forgotten.

You poor thing. I can't imagine having asthma that badly. It sounds like you are one of the fortunate ones to have a really good and compassionate doctor. I was speaking to some of the other women last night and good golly, I soooo wish I could find something for pain. Can't take pain meds because of tummy issues, but there HAS TO BE SOMETHING out there I can do. Drops, liquid, shots, something. As long as my stomach doesn't have to process it, I'm ok.

OK, enough about me. Pkayjo - honey, I'm so sorry you went through such an ordeal, but I am SOOO HAPPY you are out of the hospital and you are here with us. If you need a good laugh go to this link:

LOL - it's getting to be quite a long thread; however, when a need a good laugh, I just go there and I have just about made myself sick (good sick) from laughing so much. Oh how a merry heart does a sick body good...

Big Hugs and so glad you are OK,

Kay

I'm an Advocate

pkayjo, I know we haven't met, so hello! I'm glad you're out of the hospital. Asthma can be very scary. I know a couple of people who have severe asthma, like you.

Glad to have you back!

I am so glad your doctor has finally come around. I have asthma but it's never landed me in the hospital. Yikes! Always follow your gut.Smile
I am not a doctor. Please consult with your doctor before following any advice given by myself or anyone else on this or any other forum.
