Is anyone else here sensitive to severe temperatures? I can't even stand to be out in the heat during the summer time anymore. I used to live in Saudi Arabia. It is WAY hotter there than here and I wasn't bothered by the heat there. I can't even work out in the yard anymore in the summer. Then in the winter, every time I go out in the cold my body just aches, more than usual. Is anybody else like this?

I am sensitive to temperatures changes,it get very cold here in Minnesota this last week we had wind chills -36 below and I have been hurting bad........ but the heat is hard on me too.

I think the worst is when barometer drops right before a storm

Dodgegirl,

I can't take temperature changes either. One of my biggest problems. I remember telling the judge that I'm in the body of a 80 or 90 yr old man & I can tell you if it's going to rain or snow. Notice I said Man, because they complain more.

I also can't stand real hot weather either, it gives me tremors, more spasticity, & it feels like someone is putting cigarettes out on my legs (that's what I compare it too) So when I do go to the beach I use an umbrella.

Let's hope the weather breaks soon!

Dodgegirl,

The winter is extremely hard on me. I feel stiff all of the time and my pain is really bad. It is raining today and I feel like somebody kicked my body with steel toed boots. In the summer, I feel like my whole body is swollen and it is hard to move around. My doctor did tell me that the weather plays a part in Fibro pain.

I can handle heat pretty well.My problem is the cold. When I am cold I go into a million spasms. I feel bad when barometer drops too.
I have dystonia, neuropathy, gerd, arthritis, and fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel and other ailments. I enjoy embroidery, music, and reading my Bible and Christian books. I love to bake. I try to be very supportive and positive.

I can't handle the cold. I have such tremendous pain. It's barely even tolerable. I would often classify it as a 10+, but I'm always bound and determined that I'm not going to the hospital (cause they say that much pain requirs a hospital). I get more muscle spasms too.

The heat is somewhat tolerable, as long as the humidity isn't too bad.

Take care!

I could be a weather man...Okay GIRL!

My joints tell me when it's gonna rain...Hey, I live in Seattle, no wonder they NEVER QUIT HURTING!!!

But really...then if I set in a cold place for even a little while, I get all stiff and in horrible pain and it takes forever to feel better.

When the sun shines, I just lay in it and soak it up. I sweat really easily now (since the Fibro) so I have a hard time doing anything when it's hot.

So....I drive to the tanning bed place in the cold, windy rain and soak up some fake rays as many days of the week as possible. I truly do think that the heat and relaxation I get from the tanning bed helps me!!

I want one at home...then I don't have to freeze and get all tensed up just getting there for some relief!

Oh...the pic of me on here was before I started the tanning...just in case you wondered!! LOL
