MDJunction to me

Hazeldee"MDJunction means that I no longer have to feel like I am the only person in
the world with pericarditis. It means that I can talk to others who know
how stressful and how painful having pericarditis can be. It means that I
connect with others to discuss treatments that have or haven't worked for us, so that we have a leg to stand on. I think that having my friends at
MDJunction has allowed me to better mentally and emotionally process my
diagnosis and what it means to me. I feel so lucky to have this community
available to me. I use MDJunction as a way to use my experience to help
others. Reaching out to help others is the only solace I have found since
being diagnosed with pericarditis.

ya know, I blank out often...sometimes I forget where I am or where I"m going. That is fibro fog for me and is common amongst alot of us. The headaches though are the big concern. Are they migraines? Migraines are defined by nausea, sensitivity to sound and light... there are some great migraine meds out there but you HAVE to let your doc figure out exactly what these symptoms are. I know I'm bad about self diagnosing, and reading up on symptomology trying to figure out what's wrong but your doc is really the best answer here.

Hugs and I hope you get this figured out soon!!!

Another headache day... And my mom on the phone upset telling me to go find more medication to try... *sigh* she's upset that I refuse to take anything that gives me side effects that make me feel like crap...

I agree with everyone. Get a diagnoses to play it safe. We are concerned, but it is because in our experience, sometimes there are good reasons to learn what the true reasons are for our problems. And it's a faster path to resolution. Ask the doctor to check your vitamin D levels. My pain specialist did that this year, and now that I'm nearly in the normal range on D, my headaches are much better.

I had my D levels checked, everything came out perfect. They tested all kinds of things and every one of them was "normal"... *sigh* I'm trying to get into a neurologist. I've just been taking excedrin migraine and wearing sunglasses at all times. I even stayed off the computer for a week to see if that helped. It didn't. I'll update as soon as I learn anything else.
