Once you get to the point of hullacinations, you really need to see a doc. At this point it becomes very serious and can lead to serious consequences. If you can't sleep/haven't slept you need to call the dr.

I'll agree with Hatbox on that one. Now that I'm sure you're home and not at work still (those idiots that most people think are "normal" drive me nuts too), you SERIOUSLY need to go to the doctor. There can be life threatening consequences of sleep deprivation.

I ws so tired, I went to bed early. I was so proud of myself, I ws in bed by 10pm.

And now here it is almost 1am and I'm back on the computer, because I couldn't go to sleep. I was relaxed, comfortable, had taken my meds... couldn't fall asleep. I have a doctor's appointment on Monday to get the results of that last sleep study and discuss my sleep issues.

You definately should do the same Kiara.

And now it's 7am and I'm still not able to sleep. Maybe I'll get sleepy and lay down for a nap later. I've been up, lets see, about 18 hours now, but when I slept last, I didn't rest much either, my hip was hurting too bad.

Someone, hit me in the head with a baseball bat. I might get a concussion, but at least I'd get some sleep!

That's been me too Moira, but. I will fall "asleep" not sure I can even call it that for an hour, then wake up. I tried everything g last night; chamomile tea, melatonin, valarium, book on tape, medical sleep hypnosis on tape, laying on massage table ( that was the worst bc I got stiffer) and finally dosed off around. 5 am and woke up at 7 am....

This sucks plain and clear......

Be well in mind and spirit even though your body fights you daily with pain....love and light. Julz.

Yep, I'm exhausted, but not sleepy. I'm wide awake. Just sitting here watching a show called Falling Skies, I just discovered. Really liking it. Almost wish it was boring enough to put me to sleep tho!

I am completely off elavil (amitryptaline) or however you spell it. I hated it so much. Made me gain like 15 pounds and made me feel heavy and terrible all the time. I took melatonin last night and it knocked me on my ass lol. I was so groggy when I woke up and wasn't able to function for a good hour after taking it. I don't think I would be able to take it when switching from a night shift to a morning like I have to do tonight. Work until 11 an then back again at 7

It SUX to be unable to sleep. I used to get help by reading in REALLY low, pointed light. I would wrap fabric around the light of a flashlight, and secure it with a rubberband. Then you have to have an unexciting book. now I can't afford the used books. I like to cut them in half so they don't hurt my hands so much. Don't think the library would appreciate that.

Hope you find a way to unstimulate your mind. it's not easy.

I go through the not sleeping from time to time. I have been up as much as 34 hours before getting any sleep, but cannot say I ever hallucinated. I agree that you need to see a dr. and get something to help you sleep. It sounds like you did get some sleep the other nite, and that is great. Hey, if Melatonin helps, that's great, cuz it's natural. I would still get in touch with the dr, cuz it is very dangerous when you start having hallucinations. HUGS
Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.
