Summer means growing vegetables and enjoying the outdoors. Lots of sunshine! I love summer time! Makes the winter bearable knowing that sun and fun are just around the corner!

summer used to mean swimming, gardening...anything outside. As I get older and now with this lovely FMS, I can't take the heat anymore. It was 108 here today and we've broken heat records all week....expected to continue all next week too. So summer this year means shopping at 6am when it's cool enough, watering at sunrise so my flowers can make it thru the day and closing up the whole house (curtains doors, everything) so the ac can keep it near 82 during the hot hours.

I moved here to AR to get away from the Texas heat (well I moved for another reason but the cooler weather was supposed to be a perk) I was so excited my first year when we got 4 snowfalls! This past winter, no snow..didn't even get cold enough for me to wear my beautiful fake fox coat. I think I will move in with Mo...you can put stuff on to get warm but you can't take off your skin to cool down!!!

And Adewyn, you broke me up with the "shit ton" of pain...hadn't heard that one before but it's awesome!

Love ya'll

I'm an Advocate

Summer, to me, means heat and humidity in which I don t do well in anymore.

Baseball and summer sports with grandson and cookouts with family and friends.

Early morning and late evening working in my flowers and yard.

Longer days (now that I even nap once in awhile during daylight hours) ...Especially after fishing with hubby for a few hours.

And, of course, working, working, working but PTL for A/C there !!!

Fresh air is good for all of us but when I have been out in it for hours, I am relaxed and exhausted enough to take a nap.

Summer=more quality time with my son, lots of animated/kid movies, Wii games that I never play without the chosen son, pizza, Mac n cheese, watermelon, water balloons, sleeping late...

Wow..summer eh? You all know that I am not a fan...(Get it fan) LOL... I crack myself up...Guess I'm the only one...Hmmmm

Anyways, summer to me is staying indoors in the a/c. (Of course I'm agoraphobic, so that's my life anyways) ice cream, and watching reruns of old shows. They had a "I Love Lucy" marathon on this weekend.....Sorry...best I could do...LOL

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.
