MDJunction to me

"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunnyfly)

I am also a new comer to this wonderful condition. I was diagnosed in Dec after 2-3 years of having seen several regular drs., surgeons, PT's, muscle specialists and then a rheumatolgoist. he finally ruled out lupus, lyme, arthritis, thyroid and was at his final straw on a diagnosis when he re-examined me and asked about all the other conditions that everyone seemed to think were unrelated...and here we are with fibro.

I have sever pain in my hands/wrist. no strength and constant ache and very sore to touch. I can't squeeze anything or lift with that hand or hold anything remotely heavy with that arm. it radiates up to my elbow and back down often as well. it's really bad in the am before I take my piroxicam (was on something else that was too strong and made me sick and gave me vision problems) and then it's tolerable but still present all day. I also take amitripolyne (sp) at night to help with the sleeping which definitely works for that but not sure it does much else like promised.

my condition seems to be getting worse even with PT and is moving to other parts of my body. left hand starting same way the right did and now my right ankle is getting really bad as well...anyone else experience this sort of pain in those areas?

Arms can feel like that. Makes it hard to take things off shelves. Thats when we just need to laugh at ourself.
I have dystonia, neuropathy, gerd, arthritis, and fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel and other ailments. I enjoy embroidery, music, and reading my Bible and Christian books. I love to bake. I try to be very supportive and positive.
