Welcome to the group Maureen!

I've only recently been diagnosed with Fibro, but I also have Major Depressive Disorder or Clinical Depression. I take Gabapentin as well...but I also take Cymbalta. I'm very groggy as well..to me it is a combination of the Fibro, Depression and the medication.

You might want to talk to your DR about an antidepressant. It might help you to deal with everything a little bit better.

Not saying it's a miracle pill *antidepressants* but they do seem to take the edge off most days...but other days for me are just bad. I also will start therapy on Monday and I'm hoping it will help me more!

I sure hope you start feeling better soon hun...I know it can be so hard at times.

Welcome to the group- you just made MANY new friends here- such a supportive group!!! Sorry you are feeling depressed- anti depressants are certainly something to consider, as well as therapy- depression makes the pain worse- and Lord knows we don't need any help in the "add to my pain" department! Post aside as you know- we support a great vent, have all done it and continue if we need it! You are welcome here. Talk to your doctor would be my advice-- maybe connsider a psychiatrist - they specialize in depression and are possibly better equipped to choose th right Meds and educate you on them.

I have clinical depression too and some days it's hard to know what is making me feel worse, the aches and pains or the depression. I have gone up to 60 mg prozac now and I went to a therapist for a while. I still fight it. You have found a good place for info and support. Welcome.

Hey Maureen! Welcome to the group!

I too suffer from Major Depressive Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I take gabapentin with Celexa, an anti-depressant and I'm not groggy and drowsy. I'm just tired from the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

This is the greatest bunch you'll ever meet, and we all "get it" because we've all "got it." I know, the depression that goes along with the syndrome works on your head, after all, our brains don't work right, or if they did, every little touch wouldn't HURT! Not to mention the depression from being so in pain and unable to do the things you used to do and love to do.

You'll get better, we'll help. You will ALWAYS find a ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on here. We all do it, go right ahead!

I am not a medical doctor and any medical opinion I give is based on personal experience and/or research. It is not intended to suppliment or replace your doctor. Follow at your own risk.

Gabapentin 600mg, tid
Tramadol 50mg, bid
Enalapril 10mg
Metoprolol ER 50mg
Citalopram 40mg
Levothyroid 125mcg
Cyclobenzaprine 10mg
Hydroxyzine 25mg
Carbidopa/Levadopa 25/100mg
Fish Oil Omega 3 - 1400mg
multi-vitamin pack
Vitamin C 500mg
Vitamin D3 50,000units, once a week
