Do you all seem to get sick more now that you have Fibro than before? After I started getting worse(had not been dxed yet)I started getting more "colds." I have had pneumonia three times in the last three years. So far this year I have been sick three times with what starts out as a sinus infection and then settles in my chest and I end up being sick for two - three weeks before my cough is gone and I am completely well. I used to get sick maybe once a year.....Too many changes!

I would say yes but I also think there are reasons why, we are more seditary then we were before so with colds not getting around helps it settle,plus we are at the pharmacey more..and that is where all the sick people are..so we will catch more there..

also we might not eat as well because of not feeling like cooking dinner so that leaves use with a lower ammunity...just thoughts of reasoning...

we all have alot to give if one gets the help then some of this suffering is worth it..

remeber I am not a doctor I just say what I think

Psalm 91

My Refuge and My Fortress

91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the recompense of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—
the Most High, who is my refuge—
10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder;
the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.

14 “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him;
I will protect him, because he knows my name.
15 When he calls to me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
With long lifrwill I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.

I don't know... my mother says I was "always sickly." So I have no idea if it's just me, or if it's the Fibro or what. I had pneumonia that put me in the hospital twice as a kid and more cases of bronchitis than you can shake a stick at (but my parents smoked around me all the time, so it may have just been that).

I used to have the sinus-into-chest cold thing at least twice a year. I've actually had it less often in the last few years, but that's because I had sinus surgery to open up my head a little more. I'd had such chronic allergies, all the sinus passages had narrowed to the point that once that stuff started building up, it couldn't drain and just stayed in there making me sicker and sicker. Now that everything can come out, I don't get nearly as sick as I used to.

I am not a medical doctor and any medical opinion I give is based on personal experience and/or research. It is not intended to suppliment or replace your doctor. Follow at your own risk.

I used to get severe sinus and ear infections when I was more active and worked. My body was very worn down. However, when I did stop working I was still always getting sick although I could rest and then the colds and infections did not get severe.

However, when I moved to NM out of the humidity, pollution and pollen of the Great North East these problems greatly dissipated. My sinuses, migraines, headaches, colds and swollen glands act up with activity and when it rains or is cold or humid. I went out on errands just over a week ago? and for two days my neck glands became swollen. It does not always happen if I run errands but can.

This is of course, in addition to pain and fatigue symptoms that come on after activity or when it rains, is cold or humid.

I have been fortunate (knock on cyber wood)... It does make sense though... more stress, less sleep... all of that could culminate into a lowered immune system. Sorry you are experiencing that- wish you wellness!
