Hi Robb and welcome to the group! Sounds like it's time to fire your doc and find a new one! Remember, they work for you, not the other way around. I agree, it sounds like a pinched nerve, probably in the neck area, tho it may be in the shoulder. I don't have pain in my arms like you describe, but I sometimes have numbness in my fingers, especially if I've been crocheting a lot. I have to look at the crocheting to do it (as opposed to knitting which I can do mostly by feel unless I'm working a complicated pattern stitch). That constant looking down will pinch a nerve and start my fingers, usually pinky and ring finger, to go numb. I'd think an MRI of the cervical spine would be in order.
