Do any of you with brain fog ever have a hard time getting dreams out of your head?? Or a lot of times I'll be doing something where I need to concentrate and things that I did a year ago or more will randomly pop into my mind. Its like when I am in the fog I cant focus on the here and now. Is this common??

Happens to me all the time and the worst is being in mid conversation with someone and U are totally lost in the conversation and they are waitin for a response. Then they look at ya as if U have 3 heads lol. 3 Heads are not always better! Blink

I do that with the conversations. I will be listening and then the next thing I know, they expect a response and I realize that somewhere in my listening I drifted somewhere else and don't have a clue what I'm supposed to say. Last night my daughter started to tell me something and she said "mom, look at me. You need to hear this." Lol kinda sad but I guess it's good she knows to do that.

Hi

I thought I was developing Alsheimers. There are so many reasons for the fog. It also comes with meds, illness, stress etcetera. I am suprized I am not in a fog 100%.

Before I understood it I would feel embarrased then stressed, then I became more forgetful...Unsure

That happens to me a lot, even before I was diagnosed with fibro....I would completely blank out when someone was talking....

Along with other symptoms, I was eventually diagnosed with ADHD, listening being a major factor.....

My husband chuckles at me sometimes bc of how I am and I tell him.....this is nothing, you should have seen me in first grade! Lol! I stood in the corner a lot for talking, and not listening to the teacher! Then I would continue to talk to the kid in the other corner! My teacher didn't know what to do with me....! Lol!

My parents finally sent me to parochial school and those nuns found ways to tune me in! Ermm Whistling

My dreams are really vivid, and sometimes really weird. When I wake, they're almost more like a memory than a dream. But they fade FAST and I will only remember small bits and peices.

I'm loosing track of conversations at times, forget that I put on a pot of coffee to make (I use a single cup maker, that doesn't have the bottom heater, so by the time I remember to go get it, it's ice cold and I have to reheat it in the microwave... which thankfully has a DING that reminds me to go get it after it's warmed back up!)

I rarely put things in the wrong place, like a gallon of milk in the pantry instead of the fridge. But I've lost keys and locked myself out of the car so many times, that I am now, not allowed to shut the door of the car unless I see my keys on their clip ring on the side of my purse!

I'm like Moira, I dream, but rarely remember any of it. Sometimes I will hear something or see something later in the day that will remind me, but rarely.

However, I have lost complete concentration. I can no longer read, and even watching a movie is difficult. I'm ashamed to say it, but even praying I can't keep my mind on what I'm doing. My mind wanders all over the place. I've never been like that before, but it actually started before my diagnosis, so I know it's not the meds. You are sooooo not alone in this...HUGS

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.

When I'm deep in the Fog, nothing sticks and I remember nothing. I have come up with some tricks to wade thru a day like that. Dreams--monstly they are so vivid and thrilling I want to stay in them...
