A while back a topic of discussion was about our pets.

I love animals! They can bring so much joy to people lives.

We have 1 dog, 2 horses, 2 cats, and a turtle.

Our cats are "house" cats. I didn't respond to the post that was up just less than two weeks ago, because one of our kitties was getting old. The thought of going through days without her is very sad.

Well, I'm sharing with you my sad story. It actually has a 'long' version to it and if you really want to hear the lengthy one, you can PM me.

Fuzzy is our 18 year old cat. Although, she's actually aged gracefully and continued to be 'spunky'...She was very, very ill this weekend. She was laid to rest this morning and is no longer suffering.

She is being strongly missed by us though. We've had her since she was born. She's been through SO many things with our family. And of course, she was the one person (well cat/friend) that you could depend on for a hug.

She will be missed terribly by myself, my husband, our teenage daughter, our other daughter and son-in-law; and other family members and friends that sometimes visit.

She's already strongly being missed by her playmate, 8 year old Angel. Whom has been wondering around the house all day trying to figure out what's going on. Although I'm pretty sure they said their good byes. She just doesn't understand that she's not "here" anymore.

Thanks for listening to me share this sad day. I really tried not to make it too long.

I'm just hoping that you will keep my family in your thoughts. I know some people feel they're "just" animals. But I also know that there are many of you out there that understand the feelings we're going through.

I'm glad we still have other animals. Our family wouldn't be complete without them.

Some day I'll have to get a pic of them.

Try and have a good evening all, and I'll talk with you tomorrow.

Amy

Oh Amy I am so so sorry for your loss. Pets are family and the loss of them is as hard as the loss of a human friend. I am sure your heart is breaking and mine is breaking for you. I can't have any of my pets here since the seperation and I miss them so much. He got the farm so he got the animals too. I go out and try to visit them once a week, and I know what you mean about them being with you in all the good and bad times. You and your family are in my prayers tonight. Don't forget to celebrate all the joy she has brought you over the years.

Hi everyone, your on my favorite subject. Being a vet tech, trainer, groomer, pet shop and kennel operater I miss it every day. I still try to train on occasion when the pain isn't too bad. To everyone who is going thru the heartbreaking experience of losing one, The Rainbow Bridge helped me tremendously. There is even a web site. Its a bit hard too take immediately after the loss, but it was the only thing that comforted me and made sense to me after my losses. I know what your going thru,my heart goes out to you.

I have 2 dogs and 1 cat. My littlest and youngest dog is my God send. She has a way of knowing what I need. She gives me so much love and cuddling. My other dog loves to get his belly rubbed. He loves to be near my daughter. He is loving. My cat likes to play throw the toy off the perch. He wants you to pick it up so he can throw it off again.

Amy I am sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is. I lost a dog we had for 16 years when I was 19.

I have dystonia, neuropathy, gerd, arthritis, and fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel and other ailments. I enjoy embroidery, music, and reading my Bible and Christian books. I love to bake. I try to be very supportive and positive.
