RW. I'm so glad that you are Interested. I hope we get a couple of other people who want to have a bit of fun and lose weight. I haven't thought this all the way through, but let's see what will work. we would probably want to communicate our progress through pm or e-mail. When we "weigh-in" (weekly), we need to report weight loss is pounds and percentage loss. The only way to really measure is by percentage because the more weight you have to lose, the easier it is to lose in the beginning. Of course, the incentive is for us to lose weight, but it might be fun for us to have a "prize". If people agree, we could each contribute $$ (?) and the 1st and 2nd place winners would split (2 to 1) the pot. Of course, this has to be on the honor system. The biggest prize will be losing the weight and having a fun time doing it. I'll post this as a new thread entitled "Weight Challenge"

Let's see who else is interested before we go any further. If it's just you and me baby, watch out for a serious butt kicking!!!!!

I'm glad something I said was also on all of your minds as well as mine. I have about 90 pounds to lose and am really wanting to do it for me and my health. I could use some support and will give that as well. I'm thinking seriously on starting yoga, heard it's pretty good for helping decrease pain as well as the other numerous benefits. I go back to my rheumie on July 25 and would like to see a smaller number on that evil scale.

i'm new to this site and this forum. i've been reading and it looks very interesting. for me, the scale continues to go up and up, and i really need it to go down! i've never belonged to a forum/group, so do not know how the encouragement happens or works, but i'd be very interested in hearing about weight loss stories. i have about 150 pounds to loose, but i'm starting slow and wanting to work on losing 30 pounds in the next 6 months. i'll be checking back to see if a weight loss challenge shows up. i wish everyone good luck with the weight loss as well as the fms symptoms.

Angel. I can totally relate to what you are saying. I just feel asleep for a few hours and woke up to tingling arms, legs that didn't want to hold me up when I went to the bathroom to pee, and hands that I needed to ease into straightening out. The one thing I know for sure, though (for me) is that the more I move them and get blood flowing, the more I can move them. Are you in a wheelchair?? Whether or not, we can figure out some gentle aerobic-type things to do that will help you lose some weight, along with dieting. Do you need to lose any weight???
