MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

I've found it difficult since I've been here, gathering information. Alot of people have encouraged me to go and get information where other I have noticed are saying this is only a support site. I'm confused. I tried to participate, and I have also tried to just watch and learn from others. There is so much fighting and stress from others opinions. I can see when things get out of hand, it must be difficult to have to be the one to have to go and be the bad guy so to speak or put you foot down on them. I don't like to see hard feelings either. But it seems that people must know that we aren't doctors and to have to write all that every time we say we are taking a med or exercising or seeing a specialist or on disability or something just seems silly. shouldn't it just be in the rules as a GIVEN that we aren't doctors unless we say we are besides, even if we are a doctor or specialist we aren't yours and don't know what you need. I Guess we all must know that being in constant pain will cause us to be edgy regularly but we need to be aware of this and relize that it may come out in posts, and we need to try to over look them some times. we don't have to read about a subject we aren't interested in. It seems that every time I go to a thread its locked, sometimes before I write so its not me, not always I hope. I was getting a complex before I noticed that others were closed as well. I was beginning to think This wasnt the place for me Unsure

Celticmyst, It is very hard having to be the bad guy!! Us leaders have a very hard job trying to keep peace in the forums. The last few days is a rare occurrence here, we just had a few things going on that was not in the best interest of the forum and feelings were getting hurt both privately by pm and in the open forum. It seems that things have been handled in the appropriate matter now and there should not be any further problems. I personally locked, edited and deleted some posts which I haven't had to do for several months due to disrespectfullness of members. This is not normal and yes I hate being the bad guy!! Not Fun!! Its not fun for any of us leaders but we volunteed to make sure that the rules are followed and that all the members are protected, so that all we were doing was our job.

I hope you understand and I hope you will stick around and see that this is a great place to be and that it is the place for you!!

Hugs!!

I'm not a dr, anything stated in my post are from my own personal experiences.

I am a Herbalife distributor and have been trained in nutrition and weightloss. If you have any questions please send me a pm.

Never give up the fight we are all in this together.

I appreciate everything you leaders doing for so many of us. I know it requires very much time on your part. I have been very pleased with this site, have learned much about fibro, have met some pretty wonderful and supportive people and am just so glad there is this site to go to. I don't know who else I could really talk to about this daily thing I have called fibromyalgia. In my situation it has gotten worse, and I really think I am scared about my future, and it is a must to be able to have a support group, not only to learn, but to know others really do understand, and can empathize and are there to calm my fears. The leaders of this site are to be commended.

Thank you for your suppport and understanding celtic and Nevayda and all the other members who gave us support too. It warms my heart to see how much we have come together as a group to help each other. This is truly a great bunch of people we have here. I'm proud to call all of you my fibro sisters and brothers.

I haven't been on for a few days, but most of the posts that I've read since I joined have not been offensive. So, it must just be something recent. I've found great support and friends here.

Oh honey. I'm sorry you feel this way. I'm new here too and I know I was posting in the wrong areas, probably still am sometimes but it takes time. You sooooo belong here with us. Nobody in here has all the answers but we share feelings, frustration, sillys, and "this is what I do for me" advice. Please stay. If you need help, I'll try but Iknowpain is a good go to. I have found that anyone in here will help out and give hugs when needed too. Just be yourself.

I really needed this post today, thank you so much. I know the post I put up yesterday was directed at a particular situation that I felt, along with the other leaders, was out of hand. I've come to realize through MANY PMs that I made a lot of people doubt themselves. I want to make something completely clear, if I have a problem with you I will address you in PM so you know about it.

If I feel someone could be jeopardizing the spirit of the group I want to address the group but I don't want to point fingers. I don't know if that makes sense. I don't get any sick thrill from humiliating people, I just don't want this life-saving site to falter because of hard feelings between others. Rest assured, if I didn't talk to you in PM about my problem then I don't have a problem with you. (hug)

Love,
Casty
