I can relate, Kelly... My husband says it all the time, take your pills and go rest.....I feel like throwing the damn bottle at him..

First of all, the damn pills don't do a damn thing, and second, i am tired of relaxing, I'm done with relaxing, I'm relaxed out!!! If I could relax I would sleep at night....but my mind and body won't allow it!!

Thanks for letting vent along with you, dear, I needed that. Hope you find a little peace today......hugs.

Be well in mind and spirit even though your body fights you daily with pain....love and light. Julz.

I think the "go take a pill" thing is the way society is trained these days. A hundred years ago, it was mostly suffer in silence. We didn't have that many medications. Now we have thousands of types of pills and half the advertisements you see on TV and in magazines are for pills. Lyrica, Cymbalta, Viagra, Mucinex, there's just thousands of them. Medical science, and doctors, and drug companies have taught us that there's a pill for everything, and everything will be better if we just take the right pill.

I understand the frustration (tho I can say my husband isn't one of the ones who says "take a pill"). I get tired of taking them myself. But part of the blame can't be laid at the feet of family. Most of it has to be laid at the feet of society, and what billions of dollars of advertising over decades of our lives tell us.

Hey, 100 years ago we'd either have suffered and been called crazy, or suffered and been called vicious hags, or be doped up to our eyeballs with laudenum (sp), or cocaine...

Can you shift to a patient sigh and a question, "Why don't you think I alread tried that?" Or clap your hands to the sides of your head and shout, "A pill! Why didn't I think of that? You're a genius!"

Kelly,

I know how you feel..It's like my hubbie...He'll ask me every single day.."What's wrong?" I feel like telling him.."The same damn thing that's been wrong with me for a year now, nothing new!!" Then when I say that I am hurting..."Did you take a pill?" No....I just thought I would sit here and suffer til someone told me to take one, cuz I can't figure that out by myself!!" Sometimes, they are so ridiculous. I guess it's cuz he will sit in the chair with a headache, and when I ask him if he took a motrin, he'll say "no". I'm like...REALLY?? Are you waiting to get the gift of telekenesis so it will come to you? Makes me ill!!!

Wow...didn't mean to start venting, just thought I'd add a little something...LOL

HUGS

Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor.
