Robin, I went thru that "should I apply? there are other people out there worse off than I am!" question too. I applied, was denied, let it lapse, then a year later reapplied. There may be people out there worse than us... but there's also people out there who aren't as bad as we are who are on disability. We have just as much right to disability payments as anyone else. We worked, we paid in, we should be able to draw out. Just don't let it lapse like I did. Keep after it. If I hadn't let it go for a year, I'd probably be approved already, as it is, I'm still waiting!
